Cari Anya Ensio completed her first graphite piece at the age of sixteen. Inspired by an artist visiting her high school, Cari dedicated her senior year Independent Study course to exploring the graphite medium. By the time she had graduated high school in 1996, she had begun to sell her work and exhibit locally.

Since that time, Cari has continued developing as an artist while pursuing degrees in English, Classics, and Archaeology in Canada and Australia. She has exhibited and won numerous awards in both the United States and Canada. In Quebec, she exhibited in a private gallery in Montreal, was featured in a studio tour in the Eastern Township, and was awarded the People's Choice in the Stanstead Art Show. She has also exhibited in a Congressional Art Show (3rd Place); the Art Under the Oaks show (Scholarship awarded); the Art by the Sea show (2nd Place); the Center for the Arts in Vero Beach, FL; and is part of the St. Edward's permanent collection.
